HOW DOES SET FAMILY MEDICAL CLINICS SERVE OUR COMMUNITY?SET Family Medical Clinic at St. Francis Health Center This medical clinic provides basic, affordable medical care for the low-income and uninsured people of the Pikes Peak Region.
SET Homeless Clinic The homeless and very low-income people that access the Marian House Soup Kitchen are able to receive basic medical care Monday thru Friday 11:30am-1:00pm. SET Family Medical Clinics also conducts a sock exchange and provides personal hygiene items to the clients.
CHRP Ex-Offender Program SET is partnering with other organizations to provide basic medical care, mental health prescriptions, counseling and life-skills classes for people re-entering society after prison.
Health Literacy Center The Center is designed to help patients and their families navigate the complex healthcare system. It is stocked with resources to educate patients on many topics. The purpose is to empower and enable them to take responsibility for their health care. Printed information, internet access and classes are available.
Immunization Clinics In 2009 SET received a grant from The Colorado Trust funding 8 immunization clinics a year. The clinic, staffed by volunteer nurses, provides free immunizations to children 4-18 that are uninsured, medicaid eligible, American Indian or Alaskan Native.
Senior Well Being Clinics Provide a monthly physical wellness check for low-income seniors. Clients have their weight and blood pressure monitored, periodic glucose testing and a nurse health assessment. They also have an opportunity for consultation with a pharmacist, dietitian and/or social worker.
Spiritual Companioning Program The purpose of this program is to couple a senior client with a volunteer who has been trained in spiritual care visiting. Together they nurture their spiritual beliefs. This one-on-one monthly visit provides an avenue for the senior to relate to life with a spiritual focus, an important component in living life holistically.
