The Dr. Larry R. Smith Health Literacy Center is designed to help patients & their families navigate the complex healthcare system. The center was named in honor of the late Dr. Larry R. Smith, a devoted SET Volunteer and force for good in our community. It is stocked with resources to educate patients on many topics and to help prevent various diseases and medical conditions. Health classes, internet access & printed information are available. There is a focus on prevention and education for patients with chronic diseases and other health related issues. This center helps build the bridge to healthcare for these patients until they can establish a medical home. SET is confident this center will help Serve, Empower & Transform the underserved members of our community.
